Introducing RGT: New Prefix for RAGT Cultivars

Recently our New Zealand business underwent a significant transformation under the global RAGT brand. To strengthen this connection, our cultivar names will now feature the ‘RGT’ prefix. For example, ‘Hustle’ will now be known as ‘RGT Hustle’.

Globally, many seed markets are regulated, and proprietary cultivars must be approved to feature on recommended lists. To help identify the breeder, seed companies often use naming conventions to highlight their material. These prefixes are limited to three characters.

As a result, RAGT utilise the prefix RGT to meet this requirement and have now implemented the naming convention worldwide. You’ll see these updates reflected on our website and across our other media.

We believe this will help ensure that our cultivars are easily identifiable and closely associated with the trusted RAGT name. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
