Because our seed growers produce various varieties of ryegrass, they understand which cultivars perform best for their animals. For the past four years, RGT Hustle RGT18 has stood out in terms of forage quantity and quality, particularly for finishing lambs.
“My experience is that in autumn and early spring, RGT Hustle RGT18 outperforms everything else on the farm. It’s very palatable, and I believe its upright growing habit helps maintain pasture quality, particularly with high pasture covers. In early spring, the lambs grazing on RGT Hustle RGT18 are gaining around 400 grams per day.”
