RGT FORCE 4

RGT Force 4 comprises multi-stemmed plants with an upright growth habit. It maintains high numbers of leaves along its stems. RGT Force 4 shows good early growth and long term persistence, and has excellent cold and drought tolerance.

RGT Force 4 is one of New Zealand’s favourite lucernes, proven over thousands of hectares of farmland. Lucerne offers the highest quality, highest production and best persistence of the forage options available, and remains the cheapest form of home grown protein and energy on farm. RGT Force 4 makes the most of that, combining fast growth and high feed value to grow animals quickly and lift overall production, while its drought tolerance acts as genuine feed insurance through dry summers and increasingly variable seasons.

RGT Force 4 is made up of multi-stemmed, upright plants that carry high leaf numbers along the stem, which underpins its high energy, high protein quality and excellent palatability. It establishes quickly and persists well over the long term, and handles both cold and drought, making it especially well suited to the South Island’s environment and farm systems, including the East Coast, Marlborough, Canterbury, Otago, and Western Southland. For many farmers, it has become the home grown protein that lets them finish stock or supply markets they once thought were out of reach.
